     Produced using 100% renewable energy!

A heatless variety that came from the original and infamous Moruga Scorpion. It has all of the fruity aromas you would expect from a super-hot chinense, but without the heat. The flavour profile is different from the Trinidad Pimento which is also a heatless chinense. The Sweet Moruga is sweeter whilst the Trinidad Pimento has a more savoury taste.

Note that this is a hybrid created by chilli enthusiasts. And as with many new hybrids, there is a chance that the strain isn't fully stable. So there is a chance you may end up with a plant that is a bit different from the original. But this is the exciting part of growing new weird and wonderful varieties that the chilli breeding community produces.

Heat level: Heatless.

As with many heatless varieties such this Sweet Moruga, Pimento de Padron, Trinidad Pimento etc., although they are generally heatless, they can sometimes develop heat. These varieties tend to still have the genes that control the plant's ability to produce capsaicinoids. And it is often environmental stresses that trigger the plants to produce capsaicinoids. This is main reason why you can get hotter Padron peppers for example. You can learn more about what controls the heat of chillies from our blog and YouTube video.

Harvest: Harvest when pods have ripened.
