Visit Us

South Devon Chilli Farm is free to visit, and there is plenty to see and do. Opening times vary, across the year, so please do check below before visiting.

Dogs on leads are welcome around the farm, but not in the farm shop. Allow 1-2 hours to get the most out of your visit, and bring a picnic to enjoy our picturesque rural Devon site and far-reaching valley views!

What you can expect:

Plants for sale (usually, mid March - Oct)
Fresh chillies for sale (usually, June - Nov)
Show tunnel (usually open May - Nov)
Cold drinks & snacks
Free chilli sauce and chocolate samples
Free parking, with disabled spots
Wheelchair access to the shop and accessible toilet
Kids play area, colouring, quizzes and trail
Baby changing facility
Mini farm tours (seasonal)
Pre-booked Private Tours are bookable via our Events page for groups and individuals

If you are visiting for a particular feature of the farm, please call ahead to avoid disappointment.

Our Farm

When you visit our farm, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our team and invited to sample our delicious products.
Plant Nursery

Our high-tech, double skin polytunnels are home to our chilli seedlings and plants.
Play Area

We find kids love chillies, especially when they are in the form of a super chilli village that they can run around and play shop in.

Opening Hours

Our current opening hours are:

Monday - Sunday: 10am to 4pm

From Easter holidays to the end of summer holidays we are open 7 days a week, 10am to 4pm.

From the end of school summer holidays until the start of the Easter break, we are open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 10am - 4pm.

Our farm shop opening hours can vary during the year so please make sure to check this page before you visit, to make sure we’re in!

"From the very first second my family stepped inside this little gem we were welcomed and encouraged to immerse ourselves in all things chilli. I could have spent hours here learning about the plants but my four year old was taking advantage of the chocolate samples... First rate experience and excellent products, I bought some sauces and a plant and hope to return."

"1st visit to the chilli farm and thoroughly enjoyed it. My boyfriend is the chilli expert and he loved trying the chilli and the chocolate. The show tunnel was laid out from chilli's with no heat to the hotest chilli which was off the scale. The staff were very helpful with advice. Also dog friendly which is a bonus. Would definitely go again."

"I did a chilli growing workshop. What a great morning, 9:30 till about 11:50. This included a tour of the whole place. Phil was very friendly and knowledgeable, very informal and professional. I learnt what I've been doing wrong which is a big positive. Some practical work during the workshop and came away with a bunch of seedlings. I thoroughly enjoyed the morning and I highly recommend it."

Our office hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

We are closed between Christmas and New Year, and on Bank Holidays.

We endeavour to process and ship all mail order items the next working day. During busy periods, this may not be possible; if so we aim to ship your order as quickly as we possibly can.
