A beautiful ornamental chilli, fruits have a beautiful aging colour pattern as they start off green, turn black, and eventually ripen to a rich red color. All three colors can be presented on the plant at any time.

A great heat level makes this a really versatile chilli for the garden and for the kitchen.

Harvest: Pick when the fruits have reached their maximum size. Fruits ripen from green to black to red.

Size: Plants can get quite tall, well over 1m and will require support if grown in pots.

Growers Guide

These chilli seedlings respond well to extra warmth as young plants; 25°C is the ideal temperature. 

The plants can be grown in pots or directly in the ground. Pots should be at least 2 litres, but 5 liters and is preferred.

Seedlings will need to be potted on. We recommend using Fertile Fibre peat-free compost. We use this product ourselves and found that it has the best properties compared to all the other peat-free composts currently available. Note that any additional items bought together with pre-order seedlings will be shipped at the same time as the seedlings when they are ready which is normally from March to May.
