A high yielding heatless Habanero - all the wonderful flavour of a Habanero with very little heat and a lovely sweet perfume aroma. This is very different from the heatless Trinidad Pimento which is another heatless Habanero. Unlike the Pimento, the Perfume has a very sweet perfume aroma. Great for salads or cooked into food for a great flavour.

Heat level: heatless to mild with the occasional hot one. These chillies are similar to Pimiento de Padron in that there is the occasional odd hot one. Though, generally they generally mild to heatless. Therefore, it is advisable to try a small amount first. The riper the chilli the hotter it can be; although, this is not always the case and there are often more exceptions to the rule. Learn about Scoville Heat Units (SHUs) here.

Size: plants can grow up to 100cm tall and will require support

Fruits: starts fruiting about 120 days from potting on as seedlings and under good growing conditions. Pick when the fruits have reached their maximum size. Fruits ripen from green to red.

Growers Guide

These chilli seedlings respond well to extra warmth as young plants; 25°C is the ideal temperature. 

The plants can be grown in pots or directly in the ground. Can be grow in a 2 litre pot, but a larger pot is ideal.

Seedlings will need to be potted on. We recommend using Fertile Fiber peat-free compost. We use this product ourselves and found that it has the best properties compared to all the other pear-free composts currently available. Note that any additional items bought together with pre-order seedlings will be shipped at the same time as the seedlings when they are ready which is normally from March to May.

Shipping

Seeds are sown in Jan or Feb and we start sending our plants as soon as they are ready. Plug plants are usually available to ship from about the end of March onwards. But this is very weather dependent and can vary by several weeks. We will endeavor to notify our customers when the seedlings are likely to be ready closer to the time of shipping.

Two delivery options are available, Royal Mail and DPD, and both offer tracking. However, while the DPD is a next day service, Royal Mail is a 48-hour service, so naturally, the DPD price will will be higher. Shipping prices will be calculated based on the quantity of items in your cart and will be clearly displayed at checkout before you pay. The seedlings can survive for serval days in the post since they are well watered before shipping and a few days without light will not harm the seedlings. 

Please be aware that if you place an order that contains a mix of 'pre-order' and 'buy it now' items, your order may be delayed until all items are ready to send. This is because we aim to send your entire order in one shipment. Thank you for your patience.
