A strikingly beautiful plant with deep purple stems, leaves and fruits. Immature leaves are variegated and are light purple/lime green/white. The edible fruits are dark, small and rounded. This plant is a perfect ornamental variety to add a splash of colour.

Harvest: Starts fruiting about 90 days from potting on as seedlings and under good growing conditions. Pick when the fruits have ripened. Fruits ripen from purple to red.

Size: The plant can grow to 80cm high and can be grown in pots or directly in the ground. A minimum pot size of 1 litre is required, but 2 litres is preferable.

Growers Guide

These chilli seedlings respond well to extra warmth as young plants; 25°C is the ideal temperature. 

The plants can be grown in pots or directly in the ground. Pots should be at least 2 litres, but 5 liters and is preferred.

Seedlings will need to be potted on. We recommend using Fertile Fibre peat-free compost. We use this product ourselves and found that it has the best properties compared to all the other peat-free composts currently available. Note that any additional items bought together with pre-order seedlings will be shipped at the same time as the seedlings when they are ready which is normally from March to May.
