Note: these plants have been pruned to allow them to fit into our tallest boxes. They're big healthy plants, so the light pruning would not set the plant back and you should get a good harvest from the season ahead.
This is an heirloom variety with a distinctive shape. The red cultivar ripens from green to red and the fruits have a phallic appearance. Common uses include pickling and for use in salsas.

Growers Guide
These chilli seedlings respond well to extra warmth as young plants; 25°C is the ideal temperature.
The plants can be grown in pots or directly in the ground. Pots should be at least 2 litres, but 5 liters and is preferred.
You can download the growing instructions that are sent out with the seedlings here.
Seedlings will need to be potted on. We recommend using Fertile Fibre peat-free compost. We use this product ourselves and found that it has the best properties compared to all the other peat-free composts currently available. Note that any additional items bought together with pre-order seedlings will be shipped at the same time as the seedlings when they are ready which is normally from March to May.
