Bring authentic Mexican flavour to your garden with a Guajillo chilli seedling. This popular Mexican variety produces long, smooth fruits that mature from green to a rich deep red. Guajillo is prized for its mild to medium heat and distinctive fruity, slightly smoky flavour, making it a wonderfully versatile chilli for everyday cooking.

The productive plants are well suited to pots, containers, greenhouses and warm, sheltered outdoor positions. Guajillo chillies are particularly valued for their use in traditional Mexican sauces, marinades and spice blends, and can be used fresh or dried.

Traditionally dried when red and used throughout Mexico as a base for rich salsas, mole recipes and sauces.

Harvest: Starts fruiting about 70 days from potting on as seedlings and under good growing conditions. Pick when the fruits have reached their maximum size. Fruits ripen from green to red.

Pot Plant Packaging

Plants are sent in 1Ltr (13cm) pots. Each plant is securely packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. The pot is wrapped in a biodegradable plastic bag to prevent any moisture from damaging the cardboard box any soil from falling out.

Each plant is hand selected by our horticulturists and carefully packaged. The box is marked with a way up sticker to notify the courier and handlers that it contains live plant material and that it should be handled with care.
