De Arbol chillies are a Mexican pepper widely used as a dried chilli in Mexican cuisine. The fruits are approx 5-7.5cm long and ripen from green to red. They are normally available from July to October and a good source of early season heat. Finely chop and add to salsas, salads or pizzas for a fiery kick.

Storage
Fresh chillies keep for a couple of weeks in the fridge. All chillies freeze well and slicing and pickling is another way to preserve chillies.
