Demon Red is a compact, hot chilli variety that is perfect for growing in containers, indoors or outdoors. Its small size makes it particularly well suited to windowsills, patios and balconies, while its prolific cropping makes it a fantastic choice for anyone wanting a plentiful supply of homegrown chillies in a limited space.

Demon Red is a very prolific fruiter, producing numerous attractive, upward-facing fruits around 4cm long. The compact plants are highly productive and the chillies are widely used in Thai cooking, making them ideal for adding authentic heat and flavour to curries, stir-fries, sauces and other Asian-inspired dishes.

Harvest: Starts fruiting about 70 days from potting on as seedlings and under good growing conditions. Pick when the fruits have reached their maximum size. Fruits ripen from green to red.

Size: The plant can grow to 35cm high and doesn't require support. It can ben grown in pots or in the ground. Pots should be a minimum of 1 litre, but 2 litres is preferable.

Pot Plant Packaging

Plants are sent in 1Ltr (13cm) pots. Each plant is securely packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. The pot is wrapped in a biodegradable plastic bag to prevent any moisture from damaging the cardboard box any soil from falling out.

Each plant is hand selected by our horticulturists and carefully packaged. The box is marked with a way up sticker to notify the courier and handlers that it contains live plant material and that it should be handled with care.
