The Buena Mulata Chilli is a spectacular variety that combines outstanding ornamental appeal with excellent culinary versatility. A highly productive plant, it produces masses of long, slender fruits that undergo a remarkable colour transformation as they mature, creating a stunning multi-coloured display.

The fruits begin in a beautiful violet-purple, gradually changing through orange-brown before finally ripening to a rich red. With fruits appearing in several colour stages at once, a mature plant covered in pods is an exceptionally attractive sight.

Buena Mulata can reach up to 1.5m tall, producing fruits that can grow to an impressive 10–15cm long.

Few chillies offer such an impressive display as Buena Mulata. As the fruits progress from violet to orange-brown to red, a single plant can carry pods in several different colours at once.

Harvest: Pick when the fruits are have matured and become firm. Fruits ripen from purple to red.

Size: The plants can grow to 2m high and produce a perpetual crop throughout the summer provided you keep picking them. Plants will need supporting.

Pot Plant Packaging

Plants are sent in 1Ltr (13cm) pots. Each plant is securely packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. The pot is wrapped in a biodegradable plastic bag to prevent any moisture from damaging the cardboard box any soil from falling out.

Each plant is hand selected by our horticulturists and carefully packaged. The box is marked with a way up sticker to notify the courier and handlers that it contains live plant material and that it should be handled with care.
