This fine chocolate was carefully selected, not only for its complex and delicate flavours but also its fair and sustainable credentials. The chocolate is freshly crafted from Forastero, Trinitario and Criollo cocoa beans, grown in the rainforests, which creates a sustainable haven for the endangered animals and other fauna and flora of Madagascar. Unusually, the cocoa beans are then crafted into chocolate in their country of origin – this is recognised as a “Raise Trade” product, by making the product in Madagascar, rather than sending the ingredients to be processed in Europe, it means that a greater proportion of the finished cost is returned to the African Island.

The Guardian featured this Madagascar chocolate in an article entitled, “The World’s fairest chocolate?” Each box contains at least 80g of hand-made chocolate.

Dark chocolate 99% (minimum cocoa solids: 70% from Madagascar, sugar 29.8%, soya lecithin), dried Devon chillies: 1%
