Named because they grow pointing upwards, to heaven, these chillies are very popular in a multitude of Chinese Sichuan-style cooking. 

These fresh chillies are a rarity, so get them while the harvest lasts.

Flavour: citrus notes and very fragrant

Heat: 10,000 to 50,000 SHUs

Storage

Fresh chillies keep for a couple of weeks in the fridge. All chillies freeze well and slicing and pickling is another way to preserve chillies.

Facing heaven chillis

Nice level of heat with ribs but deseeded raw in salsas and a nice even heat in saucy soupy meat or chicken dishes when cooked. Mellows slightly with prolonged cooking
