The Chilli Farm Today
Amrit and Jenny Madhoo are the Directors and owners of the South Devon Chilli Farm.
They arrived at the Farm in 2022 and since taking over the business, have introduced lots of exciting new initiatives, including:
- Bringing a brand new mission and set of values to the Farm and how we work here
- Transitioning the Farm to 100% Renewable Energy by adding solar panels to the roof of the warehouse and farm shop
- Adding 25% additional growing capacity to our polytunnels and achieving planning permission for more tunnels in the future
- Adding lots of new products to our range, including several with a Caribbean twist courtesy of Amrit's Trinidadian heritage
- Working closely with the RHS to achieve the first 2 Gold Awards for show gardens and a Gold Floral Marquee award - a first for any UK chilli grower!
- Overhauled the production kitchen and warehouse to acheive SALSA food hygiene certification with a resounding PASS after their very first audit - unheard of!
- Introduced a BRAND NEW website which properly showcases the amazing SDCF produce for our lovely customers...
- Redesigned and rolled out brand new bespoke packaging for our mail order chilli plants - to ensure they reach you in tip top condition every time!
