Add a little extra heat to your garden with a Serrano chilli seedling. A popular Mexican variety, Serrano produces slender, firm fruits with a bright, fresh flavour and medium-to-hot heat. The chillies are typically harvested green, but can be left to mature to a vibrant red for a sweeter, deeper flavour.

Serrano plants are productive and well suited to pots, containers, greenhouses or a warm, sheltered outdoor position. Their crisp texture and lively flavour make them particularly popular for fresh salsas and Mexican-inspired dishes.

These are a larger variety of the traditional Serrano called Senor - about 3-4", but with the same heat. Used in salsas as a hotter alternative to Jalapeño in dishes such as salsa verde.

Pot Plant Packaging

Plants are sent in 1Ltr (13cm) pots. Each plant is securely packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. The pot is wrapped in a biodegradable plastic bag to prevent any moisture from damaging the cardboard box any soil from falling out.

Each plant is hand selected by our horticulturists and carefully packaged. The box is marked with a way up sticker to notify the courier and handlers that it contains live plant material and that it should be handled with care.
