The Wiri Wiri chilli is a popular variety originating from Guyana in South America. The plant produces an abundance of small rounded berry-like fruits that have a tangy flavour while packing a punch at over 80,000 SHUs.
Plants can grow up to about 50cm to 80cm tall and have lots of branches. They can be grown directly in the ground or in pots (minimum 5 ltr). Depending on how many branches they develop and how central they are in their pots, then some staking/support may be necessary.
Heat level: Approx.80,000 to 100,000 SHUs. Learn about Scoville Heat Units (SHUs) here.
