A cross between a bell pepper called Permagreen and the classic NuMex 6-4 created by the Chilli Pepper Institute at New Mexico State University. The fruits start off green and this 'Sunrise' cultivar ripens to a vibrant yellow. The pods are long, with rounded shoulders and a pointed tip. These are perfect for drying to make into chilli ristras. Other variations include the 'Sunset' and 'Eclipse' cultivars.
