This Jalapeño is the variety we grow at the farm for our famous Jalapeno Chilli Sauce.

The plant produces an abundance of large (up to 10cm long, 3cm wide) fruits with thick walls and a medium heat.

Fresh Jalapenos are great in salsas, thinly sliced for nachos or pizza toppings, or pickled to preserve them. When ripe, they are often smoked and dried and are then called chipotle and used to flavour sauces, soups and stews.

Recipes Featuring this Product

Harvest: Starts fruiting about 90 days from potting on as seedlings and under good growing conditions. Pick when the fruits have reached their maximum size and have become very had. Fruits ripen from green to red.

Size: Plants can get quite tall, over 1m and will require support.

Pot Plant Packaging

Plants are sent in 1Ltr (13cm) pots. Each plant is securely packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. The pot is wrapped in a biodegradable plastic bag to prevent any moisture from damaging the cardboard box any soil from falling out.

Each plant is hand selected by our horticulturists and carefully packaged. The box is marked with a way up sticker to notify the courier and handlers that it contains live plant material and that it should be handled with care.
