Note: these plants have been pruned to allow them to fit into our tallest boxes. They're big healthy plants, so the light pruning would not set the plant back and you should get a good harvest from the season ahead.
A classic, mild-heat, American/New Mexican chilli. Traditionally dried when red and used throughout Mexico as a base for rich salsas, mole recipes and sauces. They add a complex fruity flavor with little burn. Add other chilies to increase the heat.
Heat level: Heat: 3,000 to 5,000 Scoville Heat Units. Average contents: 20 seeds.
Harvest: Pick when fully grown - about 70 days from potting-on.
Size: Plants can grow to about 60cm tall. The plants will need supporting as the fruits can become very heavy.

Packaging & Shipping Information
Plants are sent in 1Ltr (13cm) pots. Each plant is securely packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. The pot is wrapped in a biodegradable plastic bag to prevent any moisture from damaging the cardboard box any soil from falling out.

Each plant is hand selected by our horticulturists and carefully packaged. The box is marked with a way up sticker to notify the courier and handlers that it contains live plant material and that it should be handled with care.
