This is the variety we grow at the farm. It produces a good crop of large (8-9cm) fruits. This is a traditional Mexican salsa chilli; they deliver a crisp texture, fresh flavour and a lively heat that sits well above a Jalapeño, making them a favourite for those who enjoy a little more spice.

Typically ranging from 10,000–25,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), Serrano's offer the perfect balance of heat and flavour. Their larger size makes them easy to prepare while retaining the bold character that Serrano chillies are known for.

Perfect for fresh salsas, tacos, sauces, and grilling, these vibrant chillies deliver crisp texture, bright flavour, and plenty of fiery Mexican character.

Fresh chillies keep for a couple of weeks in the fridge. All chillies freeze well and slicing and pickling is another way to preserve chillies.

Fresh chillies are not washed thoroughly so should be washed before use.

They are packaged in paper bags with a name label attached.
