The Death Spiral chilli is a super-hot pepper originating from the UK, developed by grower Terry Smith, known for its wrinkled, twisted appearance and intense heat. It's a hybrid of the Dorset Naga and 7 Pot pepper and is a variant of the Naga Bubblegum. Its Scoville Heat Units can exceed 1.3 million, with some even reaching 2 million. The peppers ripen from light green to peach, then orange, and finally red, exhibiting a unique spiral pattern on the skin.
Note that this is a hybrid created by chilli enthusiasts. And as with many new hybrids, there is a chance that the strain isn't fully stable. So there is a chance you may end up with a plant that is a bit different from the original. But this is the exciting part of growing new weird and wonderful varieties that the chilli breeding community produces.
