The Carolina Reaper has been measured at over 2 million scoville units and is the hottest chilli we currently grow.

This chilli was given the 'hottest in the world' title in August, 2013 and was bred by the PuckerButt company in South Carolina, USA.

Incredibly, the record for eating three of these fruits is just over 12 seconds!

Harvest: Starts fruiting about 120 days from potting on as seedlings and under good growing conditions. Pick when the fruits have reached their maximum size. Fruits ripen from green to red.

Size: Plants can grow quite tall about 1m and will require support.

Pot Plant Packaging

Plants are sent in 1Ltr (13cm) pots. Each plant is securely packaged in a recyclable cardboard box. The pot is wrapped in a biodegradable plastic bag to prevent any moisture from damaging the cardboard box any soil from falling out.

Each plant is hand selected by our horticulturists and carefully packaged. The box is marked with a way up sticker to notify the courier and handlers that it contains live plant material and that it should be handled with care.

Great healthy plant without dramas of growing from seed

Ordered plant for first time ever - I’m always a “grow it from seed” person, but didn’t plant any superhots this year in time. And I’m now converted! No seedling dramas - just s healthy plant delivered carefully (very well packed) and also sent on a Monday as opposed to before the weekend, where it could have sat for a while before attempted delivery. Box was superb.

Plant has settled in for past 2 weeks and is now in bud.

Hope it sets fruit quick - looking forward to this! Sauces hopefully being made later in the year!
