Easy Barbecued Butter-Fried Chicken

You’ll need:

  • Chicken thighs or breast fillets

  • Butter

  • South Devon Chilli Farm Dry Spice Rub

  • A little oil

  • Salt, if needed

Method:

  1. Butter-fry the chicken
Heat a little oil and a generous knob of butter in a frying pan. Add the chicken and cook over a medium-high heat until sealed and lightly golden.

  2. Add the spice rub
Sprinkle generously with South Devon Chilli Farm Dry Spice Rub, turning the chicken so it's completely coated. Cook for another minute or two to let the spices cling to the buttery chicken.

  3. Fire up the BBQ
Transfer the chicken to a hot BBQ and cook until beautifully charred on the outside and completely cooked through in the middle, turning regularly.

  4. Rest & serve
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then serve with your favourite BBQ sides.

Tip: Chicken thighs work particularly well for this recipe- they're juicy, forgiving and brilliant on the BBQ!
